Celebrity hairstylist Laurentius Purnama, who has worked with such stars as Britney Spears, used a variety of Nioxin products to create sophisticated, yet casual updos for the Alvin Valley show during Olympus Fashion Week in New York. "We wanted to come up with a look that mirrored the sophistication of the Alvin Valley collection," says Purnama, whose braided updos had a modern edge. "The hair was all about texture, simplicity and shine." Purnama created the style by twisting two fishtail braids into a low chignon. Nioxin Thickening Gel from the new Volumizing Reflectives styling collection provided weightless hold and dimension. When hair was dried and styled, Purnama set the look with NoSpray. The result: a refined, casual updo that looks young, chic and healthy.
